The Harbin 2025 9th Asian Winter Games, Asia's premier ice-and-snow event, carries the core mission of promoting winter sports and the spirit of sport. The "100 days to go" milestone is a key moment in the run-up, so the poster serves a dual purpose:
first, clarity of message — keeping the "100 days to go" core information immediate while building a strong sense of icy atmosphere and ceremony; second, cultural and emotional resonance — pairing the energy of winter sports with Harbin's local character, to ultimately spark public attention for the Games and ignite enthusiasm for winter sports.
The idea began with a stack of sketches. Around the "100-day countdown" number we first diverged — breaking "100" into a dozen treatments: handwriting, flipping pages, ski slopes, ice traces — hunting for the one that best felt like an event drawing near.
Then we developed one: fitting Harbin's landmarks, winter sports and local life into the letterforms, so the number is both information and a scroll of the icy city.
Finally, reusability — once the countdown ends, the same skeleton swaps "100" for "2025," carrying the poster into the year of the Games.

The poster made its debut in CCTV's coverage of the "100 days to go" milestone, appearing alongside the arena during the venue-upgrade segment.
Displayed on the venue's LED screens, it became part of the visual identity for a key preparation phase of the Games — showcasing the renewed arena and the energy of the event.
